The lovely north

Soo the moving phaze is soon over which feels amazingly nice. Even though switching from my own appartment to a corridor room is a big change I feel it was a really interesting and good one.

I have always had problems interacting with people if I feel forced to do so. But in this corridor I feel it is much easier and might be good for me to excercise this meet people everyday thing.
To be truly honest being completely shut up has never benefitted me but it has been my first choice when I have been feeling down which is understandable.
But here I feel I can choose if I want to be social, or if I want to be alone. It's pretty perfect so far. Amd my nine corridor mates are really nice and cool people...
  • To name a few there is the leftwing feminist gal who never shaves her legs and is amazingly fun to discuss politics with.
  • There is the vegetarian german girl that makes intersting dishes I've never seen before.
  • The loud canadian guy next door to me that insists on playing dubstep... I could live without that but he is very social and nice and I swear to god he is tall as a house, over 2 meters XD
  • The swedish girl reading media with professors that drive her insane and always bring her textbook into the kitchen :P
 To name a few ^^
My room is pretty small but I am trying to make it as cosy as possible, I have my black lace curtains a ton of black lace and velvet table cloths so far. But it'll get even better when I get the rest of my stuff.

The people in my class are also very nice and fun to talk and spend time with. And the university is lovely, coffe shops everywhere,culture... Love it :)

I even went to a small segment of a live opera today, at campus...
And I am back in the north, I belong here, nowhere else... Is what I realise day by day.
And soon, the snow will fall, lovely lovely snow :3

Moving is on the horizon...

Moving is on the horizon, I have decided to clear up my closet (since I probably wont be able to keep everything anyway). And to summerize my different style directions I want to keep in it.

Yes I am a firm believer in "just wear whatever you want, don't think to much about labels" but I have many times found myself buying stuff that interest me in the stores and then I end up never wearing it.
Meaning that I like the clothes, but just as clothes, not as anything I actually feel comfortable in.

An example of this is my recent bend towards pastel accents in clothes. I was totally in love with a a lilac dress the other day and considered buying it. Then I went to town and got a pair of lilac stockings to quench some of my pastel urges.. And I ended up wearing them just once... And I didn't even feel that pretty/comfortable in them. So in the long run pastel is not for me, but I do apreciate how it looks on other people and in general.
Or for example that I have had a lot of skirts etc with great designs, but I never ended up wearing them because the fabrics was too plain. Black cotton that is ;P

Colours I shoulds keep in my closet:
  • Black (duh!)
  • Deep red.
  • Deep bue.
  • Deep green.
  • Deep purple.
  • Deep turqoise.
  • White - as accent, I rarely wear a lot of it.
  • Maybe a dab of grey.

Especially Avoid:
  • Pastel colours
  • Neon colours
  • Meh colours (too uninteresting)
  • Bright red... I just don't like how this one looks on me.

I want my wardrobe to contain mainly of these fabrics:
  • Lace
  • Velvet
  • Mesh
  • Brocade
  • Pvc
  • Leather
  • Tulle
  • Satin
  • If cotton, text patterned, striped, dotted or otherwise a bit more "special"
  • Knitted net type

Introduction

Hello there, my name is Matilda, I am a biology student from Sweden. The style that would describe me and my music taste closest is Goth. Even so I take ainspiration from a lot of genres and styles, Gothic Lolita, Visual-Kei, Bohem, Vintage, Fashion and etc and it goes on.
The name MatildaMarbleEye just originatates from my obsession with eyes, I like drawing eyes and in my personal opinion looking into someones eyes for a long time feels more personal then seeing them naked. They are kind of like the mirror of the soul.
I came up with the name a long time ago, there is probably more to it, but I really liked how it sounds and I have kept it since ;)

I also use the name NaturesDarkPassion often, that name is actually inspired by a song from The Damned, the song is actually not my favorite but that name really sums up my whole being, I love nature, I love the dark side of things and I am very romantic ;)

This blog will be dedicated to style inspiration posts, philosophical thoughts about life, shopping hauls, poems, youtube videos and everything else I feel like putting in here ;)

I have a youtube channel as well where I rant about silly stuff and make videos about shopping hauls, feel free to check it out and subscribe ;)

I also have a tumblr where I dump stuff regularly, interesting pictures and tiny messages etc ;)

That is everything for the introduction, I suppose, see you around!
